I am just doing some planning and next steps for a 24 month old child.
I need help with,
Begins to use representation as a form of communication
and
Seeks to make sense of what they see, hear, smell, touch and feel.
What activities can I do for these (its probably something really obvious but its been a long day!)

You are doing these activities all the time - and the child is probably doing them spontaneously as well!!
Begins to use representation as a form of communication - means when the child uses art, design, craft, music, movement etc to tell us how they are feeling, what they are thinking, their likes, dislikes, interests, learning styles etc.
So they move to music and tell you that the music makes them feel happy or sad or they draw a happy picture - or a black one because they are feeling gloomy.
Seeks to make sense of what they see, hear, smell, touch and feel - is covered by all the sensory activities you do with the children where you help them to learn new words to express what they are touching, feeling, hearing, seeing etc.
So the next time they touch pasta they tell you it is bumpy like the radiator on the 'that's not my truck' book...
