Hi all, I have two questions:
The first my mum said she would be happy to occasionally pop over and lend a hand when I am Childminding- this may be very rarely but I take it she still needs to register as my assistant and if so do u just fill out an EY2 form?
The second is my friend has young children of her own and would Like to join me when working for activities- she is another mum so is she just allowed to join us or we she need to be CRB checked too? I don't know how it works for visitors??

Thank you!

If you would like your mum to be an assistant then yes you will need to complete an EY2 form. As far as your friend is concerned it is up to you to a great extent, but you need to bear in mind that you must be present at all times with your minded children (so it wouldn't be ok to leave the room to go to the toilet even). If you and your friend are going to make this a regular occurance then I would be tempted to ask her if she wouldn't mind also completing an EY2, she would then be crb checked.
