How do you all keep los who walk dry on the school run. I refuese to use the car as its a nightmare parking at the school but when it's pouring down I don't want to have them soaked through. Can anyone recommend goo durable waterproofs for kiddies? Umbrellas would be a nightmare, hoods never stay up so I'm stuck

Regatta rainsuits are great:

they are expensive but last well :)

Regatta here too, my own nearly 2 year old was whizzing through the rain on his scooter this morning, hood stayed up and he was totally dry when we got back! :clapping:

Ooohh will have a look, will they be suitable for my 8 year old daughter do you think. I hate it when they are damp when they go in school  some of the kiddies at school today were drenched, I took their uniforms in a bag and got then changed in school

I got some waterproof jackets and trousers (with dungaree straps) from Lidl - £4.99 each. Worked fine in the rain today but not as durable as Regatta I guess.

I don't need them every day but fine for what we need here

I have lots of waterproofs from Lidls and they have been handed down from my sister who has 6 children .... I find they wear well considering the cost :)

I have a mixture of Regatta, Badger and good old Lidl....all work fine.

Wash well and re-proofed with in wash system when required.

Some are 7+ years old and going strong. :)

we also use regatta and got ours from Go Outdoor £10!

we are now looking at investing in the fleece suits to go under these to keep the kiddies warm as they dont work too well over coats and some of the kiddies are getting cold.

Me too - they are for all ages and so thick. You haven't to keep an eye out in their catalogue as they are not always available

muddypuddles and raindrops do great outdoor gear for little ones. They are expensive, but great quality.

I ask the parents to supply coats and wellies and spare clothes, I dont see why we should have to provide waterproofs, the parents know we do school runs and can see what the weather is like so its down to them.

I picked up some of the capes designed like animals when a local shop was selling them off. They pop on top of whatever coat they have on and keep them a bit dryer.

The parents I have at the moment are good and I have all in on suits and boots for the children
