Notification of end of contract.

I have decided after much consideration that I am no longer able to offer weekend placements.
I am working 7 days a week and I need time for my family and also to have some down time from minding.

As from todays date 1st June 08 I am giving 4 weeks notice as stated in our contract.
The last minded weekend will be 5th 6th July 08 Last payment date will be 10th July 08.
I am willing to help look for another childminder to make things easier for you.

If you have any questions please get in touch so we can discuss them.

looks good to me. its to the point and clear about dtaes etc. but then im not great with things like that. If i recieved that as one of ur parents i would accept it and understand

Couldnt be clearer, I cant see a problem with it, but I've never had to do it myself, maybe someone who has might help more :)

i think that its a fine letter it explains every thing clearly and you have been polite & helpfull if they need any help with child care . dont think you have missed any thing but im sure their are more out their who will cheeck it out
good luck with ending it , hope it goes

I think it sounds excellent. Good reasons stated and willing to help find alternative care. What more could a parent ask for? If I received it, I would be sad to lose you but totally understand your reasons.

It's a good letter - if you didn't want to explain you could just put "due to personal reasons" but I think the parent will appreciate you giving her the reasons you don't want to do it anymore (shows it's not personal)

Good luck - it's never easy giving notice

I wouldn't offer to help find alternate care. You're under no obligation whatsoever to do so. Maybe you could instead offer her a list of potential minders instead and let her do the legwork? I think when we feel guilty, we can go overboard to help ease our feelings. Course, that's just my opinion and you must do as you see fit.:)

Good luck with the letter its great

I agree with Tatia though about offering to find someone else for her - that is not your problem

Glad it went well for you.

It isn't easy giving notice, I had to do it a few weeks ago but did feel so relieved afterwards.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
