    Default Spring - Rainbow fun

    Today we are looking at Rainbows.

    We are;
    *Reading books from the Library about how rainbows are made, talking about if we have ever seen a rainbow & how it made us feel.
    *Making a rainbow by colouring/painting half a paper plate
    *Making a rainbow collage with pictures of rainbows printed off the internet.
    *Spraying water into the air in the garden using a plant mister and watching the sun shine through the mist to form pretty colours
    *Holding a mirror in a glass of water in front of the window, to see the sun shine through and make colours apear on the white paper underneath the glass
    *Run around with coloured scarves pretending to be rainbows
    *Collecting all the coloured things around us to make a rainbow art attack on the floor.
    *Sing songs about rainbows.
    *Counting and nameing all the colours in a rainbow.

    Lovely ideas. We too had a unplanned session on rainbows this morning, due to my vase of mothers day flowers on the windowsill creating loads of really brightly coloured rainbows on the floor. This is why I love little ones, I didn't even notice it, they did so I couldn't resist sound some quick activities linked to rainbows

    Same thing here, the sun was shining on a coloured mosaic candle holder which hangs on my garden fence and the colours reflected onto my dinning room wall.
    Thats what started it all off lol.
