National Space Week

Just discovered it's national space week this week!!! Was just wondering if anyone has done any exciting activities for it?
I've thought of playing with the ELC rocket and moon men we have and also got some space related books from the library. Star shaped biscuits and rock cakes. Any other ideas?? (particularly for 7 month old)!!!

How about movement like you were walking on the moon, Michael jacksons moonwalk, zooming about like a rocket, making whoosh noises etc.

i didnt know either but past few week s myself and dd have made planets girly ones fluffy starts sparkly moon aswel as a rocket ship


and hung them in fron of a black sheet of paper covered in those silver stars

I hadn't heard about it either until a fellow childminder mentioned it to me.
It's actually called world space week , website is www.worldspaceweek.org

How do I add it to the events calendar? There is a couple of other things coming up that I could add too like national baking week!
