Do they need to do anything to take home?

I don't mark occasions like Children in Need if they have no significance for the children. Will a 15 month old gain anything meaningful from an activity? If they're not interested in arts and crafts, how will making something benefit them?

The children I have now are 15 months - 2 years old. They don't understand Children in Need so I don't see any reason to plan anything round it. We recently did fire work pictures because the children had all been to firework displays so knew what they were doing. It was relevant to them and something they were interested in.

If you really want to do something I would focus on the colour yellow as it's the colour associated with Pudsy bear. How about yellow playdough?

Wouldn't normally just see everyone doing things and think I should. Think I'm just panicking as got ofsted in a couple of weeks and I'm overthinking everything at the moment. Will just carry on as normal x thank you glad I'm not the only one x

I won't be doing anything as it isn't relevant to the children I currently have. My schoolies might want to do something ... but I'll leave it up to them.

Have a Teddy bear theme - make Teddy biscuits, sing songs about Teddy bears (Teddy bears picnic, teddy bear teddy bear turn around) you can google other ones, have a indoor (teddy bears) picnic.

The whole point of children in need is to raise money....so unless you intend to join in that what is the point of taking part?

So, activities around colour and teddies are great ideas to raise money for a good cause ...charge parents for their craft ? Have a donation pot or a small teddy to fill with coins on pick up and send off to Children in Need would work.

Otherwise, skip it if you have LO's who don't understand raising awareness for those children who are vulnerable.
