    Default halloween spider webs

We went out for a quick walk before the rain started and noticed the spider webs in the trees. Older mindees wanted to make some at home ... We collected some branches and at home wound gold thread around the twigs to make webs and then added spiders! ( on a drier day i would have stayed out and made them in the woods! )

My 2 yr old mindees did the web making with help, added spiders and ran round delightedly shouting "pider"

4 & 6 yr old mindees carefully made their webs, with the 6yr old tying all sorts of knots, and then wove the spiders in the webs as well.

I thought it was so simple i had to share!

Great idea- all the better for being inspired during your walk outdoors too, gives it a context.

Gorgeous! What are they standing in - is it a vase draped with black lace? It looks very effective. Mine all said 'pider' too at that age, it always used to make me giggle.

Thanks. .. yes a vase drapped in a piece of black lace that has silver spiders on it!

I don't like spider's but i love piders! Although ds has given one LO a particuarly large and gruesome plastic spider, that he insists on putting in my face every few minutes, when not taking it for rides in the buggy!

Taking a spider for a walk in a buggy! That's so cute and funny!
