we have just taken our kids to gullivers kingdom

it never fails to amaze me how a new environment can stimulate the kids and further their development

i am thinking of the adorable little girl with the attention span of a goldfish

while we were reading the magic rock legend and making our wishes she stood transfixed to the story, waited her turn and made her wish perfectly and without extra guidance - simply because she was involved and interested.

it was the cutest thing i have ever seen - a two year old stood on a painted red spot - eyes closed - hands clasped - gentle smile on her face- making her own private wish

At legoland my son threw 3 coins in and made 3 wishes, he didn't realise he was saying it out loud. Wishes were:

    - I want to be with my family forever
    - I want to be batman when I'm older and do mummy's housework super fast
    - I want to push my grandad in his wheelchair up the big hill

Really hit home quite how thoughtful he was, you assume a 4 year old would be wishing for a toy, chocolate or something. It really does open eyes when visiting new places
