Foam messy play!!
I've struggled with finding messy play one of the time actually enjoys! He hates things sticking to his hands! Anyways, I used some foaming hand wash which he seemed to like on his hands. I brought some shaving foam last night and it was a RESULT!! He loved it and so easy to clean up!!
For some reason I can't upload a pic but we've had such fun!!

I used shaving foam back in January when a little one wouldn't play with a tray of snow I brought inside - he loves washing his hands so loved playing with the foam and driving vehicles through it. Next time I added some cooked pasta to the foam and that was a step too far for him, but will try again sometime.

We do that... I buy Sainsbury own at 19p a can. Perfect

Shaving foam is great with foam blocks too, the shaving foam can act like cement :-)

I put large blobs of ready mixed paint in with mine then we can experiment with mixing colours. Mine also like filling plastic cups with it and making 'cupcakes'! xx

This looks a brill idea ! I got a new tumble drier I m hoping the polystyrene packing hasn't been taken to the dump yet , I could cut rectangles and try this . I could make it outdoor play . If I start it with toddlers the older ones will hopefully join in . ...big thank you for posting .

I ll definitely try this one too. I'm thinking ahead on how I can disguise the shaving foam and convince the children it's "Art Foam " . I don't want them going home and reeking havoc with their daddy's shaving foam . .....mmm .

Love the shaving foam idea. I have a LO who has just started counting independently. Will put foam numbers in there for her to find.
Will use letters for the older ones, they love finding the letters in their names.
Ooh maybe a little sprinkle of glitter too, just to add a bit of sparkle. I am loving this activity, you can do so much with it. Thanks for sharing.

Oh wow! What a wonderful idea ... dh has been installing a new utility room and I have 'aquired' all the flat sheets of polystyrene as I knew it would be useful for something! I'm doing 3 Billy goats gruff and so we can build bridges!
