    Default Baby Jars

    Hey all

I am currently in the 'aww don't throw it away it might come in' mode which is beginning to clutter some of my space...

    Time to be ruthless!!

I have lots of GLASS baby jars... It's too much of a risk to do anything with them with little one isn't it??

Do any of you put them to good use for anything??

I've kept the jar lids and little ones love them!

    Amy x

Oh I keep everything too! I don't normally keep glass, but I'm thinking for older ones then glass painting, and those battery tee light candles inside would look nice. Even if you did the decorating and used them in a dark room for sensory play?
Or water musical instruments ? Older ones again though I guess.

I think we are all guilty of this when we work with children as we know how their imaginations work and the variety of things in is really useful

Love your painting the glass idea.
Older children will/would love that! x

My oh , doesn't bother putting anything in the recycling bin now. It just gets left on the side for me to sort through! He had a flake ice cream earlier and went to put the plastic dome top into the bin. I'm like noooooo that's our rocket topper ! I mean... For goodness sake!

Yes I have seen that activity actually and really liked ye look of it!!

Sticking things to the lids filling with water, glitter/fake snow & hiding them in a water tray filled with fake snow!!

Looked great but my little ones are a couple of years off an activity like that yet... :/

.....to keep or not to keep lol x

I use some glass jars - mainly jam jars - to store some craft bits and bobs like googly eyes, Pom poms etc. We did some jar painting and made a Halloween tea light holder, even an 18 month old managed to daub some paint onto the glass and then we stuck on some eyes.

I throw away very little as well!!

I use them to put jam and mincemeat in for present hampers at Christmas for older family who are on their own.
