Default 1litre plastic milk bottle ideas?!

Ok, so occupational hazard - I save everything just in case I can use it with the mindees
However, I have 6 bottles of milk delivered every wk in 1 litre plastic bottles, cartons, things! And I have so many of them I don't know what to do with them...
I've used them in the water tray - worked a treat...
I've used them as construction pieces - fab...
Made shakers - awesome (but very noisy!)

But, too small to make elephants and am now stuck for ideas.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!!

You could make them into elephants

    or even Elmers!

Mini gardens. If you cut the top but leave the handle intact you could hang them up. Each child could decorate the outside and then plant up.

    Love your idea Julie!

I would look at doing something similar!

Perfect time of year to get some lovely annuals planted & encourage them to look after them watering etc.

Adds colour to your garden & the children will love it!!

You could take their photos, laminate them and attach them to the container.

How about making an extra one per child and having them design a card to go with it to a person of their choice - moms, dads, Nans, Grandads.... just to say thank you for everything you do? I love you? Etc

    Are they see through?

If so you could fill them with later and colour the water, add glitter etc and glue the lid on... Makes great sensory shakers....? - could also consider this idea with smaller bottles as they will be easier for the children to carry etc

How about doing a maths/science exp with several cartons and finding out which one holds the most. Use key language - empty, full, half full etc

    Hope this helps

Let us know what you decide xxx

Ooh thanks everyone...like the planting ideas and I suppose we could make elephants, just baby ones lol!
My four year old has just come home from nursery and said he wants to make a rocket, so might try to use one for that too

Attach them to a fence upside down at different angles above each other with the bottoms cut off and you've got a cheap sand/water run...hope that makes sense?

Hi , I passed a load of empty litre plastic bottles to someone who was making an igloo . I think it would be best as an outdoor activity due to size and I know she used a lot of glue sticks . I have seen videos on you tube on how to make one .

Our school did this - it looked great and the kids enjoyed it. You need a lot of milk bottles though!
