I got some little boxes from the art and craft shop near here which I am going to get children to decorate and fill with sweets. I have 2 full time sibling one is 19months so will get older sibling to do box and younger to make a nice picture stick to card with string to hang up:-)

Panicked yesterday when realised I had forgotten to do a Father's Day craft with a mindee who only comes on a Monday - found a tie to colour in from sparklebox, mindee is three and a half so coloured in with different patterns he thought of himself - stripes, circles, other shapes, kisses and then he cut out some cars from wrapping paper and stuck on, then I laminated it and cut it out and he had a lovely pretend tie for his dad - laminating it made all the difference. Phew disaster averted! May repeat with other children, some younger, some older using paints etc

I too had a sudden panic that it is fathers day next sunday!

we're going to melt chocolate and put it into (old margarine ) tubs and decorate with sweets and sprinkles!

and hopefully make cards ... I usually just give the children a blank card and selection of bits to colour/stick to their hearts content!

    Bit late to this! But...

We made millionaire's shortbread and filled little boxes with it and then all the children painted a picture on a small canvas. The smaller ones did handprints on them They also made cards.
