    Default 'Transport' theme ideas please

    Hi,

My mindees are mainly 2-3 years & seem obsessed with cars, buses, tractors etc.

Wondering if anyone has some good ideas for activities etc

Obviously we're going in a bus ride, boat trip, tractor ride @ farm, visit airport.

Also got books, going to paint pictures running toy cars through paint. Use dumper trucks at local sandpit.

    What else?!

Why not do role play related to different transport themes e.g set up a load of chairs in a line, make some tickets, get some bags and things, grab a toy steering wheel or something that can be used as one, make passports etc etc. one day the chairs might be a car then a train or a plane. Can be creative with how they set them up to relate to different vehicles.

Get cardboard boxes and something round for wheels and make you vehicles.

Car wash maybe. Get out all you bikes and ride ons and have a car wash

Play games on car journeys or walks e.g who can spot a car first, a bus, a motorbike. How many red cars can you see? How many wheels do they have?

Can't think of anymore but I'm sure there are loads
