    Default Transitions Activity ideas

    Hi there

I've been asked to plan and carry out an activity based on exploring children's thoughts and experiences on transitions and for some reason, my brain has shut down and I'm stumped!

I'm currently minding a little one who will be three in July, but doesn't speak or understand much as he's EAL. He also has very short attention span (probably because he doesn't understand what's expected of him)

Someone suggested exploring a new baby but he's not expecting one so don't want to confuse him. I did think he'll be starting Nursery in September, but I'm not entirely sure what to include for an activity? I could certainly set up my setting with various resources etc but I'm expected to do a set planned activity.

Any ideas or help would be very much appreciated

    Thank you

When lo started nursery last year I popped down to the nursery and took some photo , lo enjoyed making book, telling me what to write on each page. We read books about starting nursery and played going to nursery with the happy street people.
I gave lo the camera and he took photos of his favourite things here and we made those photos into a book for him to take and share with the nursery staff.
