Default Chinese New Year - Feb week 1 planning

I have been asked by members if I can share some more of my group planning - so I chatted with the children over the last few nights and we have planned what we want to do for Feb week 1 - covering Chinese New Year.

I have also included my updated play plan as a few members asked to look at it...

I hope you enjoy some of the activity ideas!

Thank you Sarah I've always wondered how to do my planning I normally have an activity in mind but never write anything down, because I've never really known how to structure it, so thanks for your example

Thank you I am waiting for that book to come into my library otherwise I will have to go on Amazon (which is always a fatal mistake for my bank balance!).

I will tell our little man - age 7 - that you like his idea when we collect him from school later!!

he's been doing a lot of work on patterns in maths - geometric, repeating etc - and thought it would be a good idea to use the new beads we bought for making necklaces - they are nice and chunky and all different colours

That's really helpful, Sarah, thank you!

Is the section at the bottom of the play plan used to keep an eye on whether there is evidence of learning across a broad range of areas?
