    Default Sea Monkeys

    Hi all,

I am considering getting some sea monkeys as i thought they would be interesting for the children. Has anybody had them. Did it work? Did they last long? Do you have to change their water and stuff?

    I would appreciate any advice.

in the olden days... ads for these would be on the last pages of the Dandy or Beano. I remember looking at the ad and seeing the mummy one in her pinny, daddy in his bowler hat and the children all dressed to play. Oh god i wanted them....i wanted a little family in a bowl just for me....i begged and begged my dad.....he eventually gave in and let me get a postal order to send with the form.

They arrived....after putting this powder stuff in the bowl i waited for mummy and daddy and little bobby and sue.

BUT.....it was just shrimpy type things....tiny....no pinny, no bowler hat, no little booby or sue.

RIP OFF.....RIP OFF I TELL YOU

i have never got over it.....scarred me for life

My 2 daughters had them they used birthday money and did it by themselves. They actually lasted quite a while.couple of months if I remember rightly.
But my youngest also got a triop which was really weird but it worked. And sean the triop appeared for about 6 months!
